This morning’s morning pages

No Seraphim visited this morning, not visibly at least.  But now I know they are here.  One broke through two weeks ago.  She came down from the corner, through the walls, was coming towards me.  Tall, strong, fearsome but not ferocious.  It was still dark; that is when they move about.  I like to get up early in the morning to write in the dark—and now I know I am not alone.
I decided—or whatever it is that decides decided—to write Morning Pages again, short ones, and they will be my blog.
I intend to allow myself some grammatical violations.  Like this one. “Danglers” where the subject and verb are implied.  I like them.  For years I did not allow them in my writing, but now I will.   If Seraphim could talk, I bet they’d use them.
A good title, opening line, closing line, and one, three, or five paragraphs.  That is what I tell my students, so that is what I must do.  I teach three new writing classes starting next week.  Good morning, quarter.  And, tomorrow, hello 2012.
